Assessment Services

The Assessment Center staff assists students in locating and understanding their placement recommendations for English, English as a Second Language (ESL) and math. The Center also assists students in clearing prerequisites for courses that they have already completed at a previous institution.

Placement Testing Update:

The Assessment Center does not proctor placement tests for English, ESL, or math. Instead, students receive placement recommendations based on their high school course work. Please see My Course Recommendations above for more information on how you receive these recommendations for English and math.

Students interested in taking ESL courses, please complete the self-placement form. The self-placement form provides more information about the ESL program and where to start in the sequence.

The Assessment Center does not proctor challenge tests for Chemistry (to clear the prerequisite for CHEM A180). For students, who have taken high school Chemistry (2 semesters) and completed it with a B or higher, you can clear the prerequisite for CHEM A180 by submitting a prerequisite clearance form and attaching an unofficial copy of your transcript.
