Orange Coast College Dennis Kelly aquarium logo with leopard shark drawingEstablished in 1971, The Orange Coast College (OCC) Dennis Kelly Public Aquarium is the largest and most diverse student-run aquarium in Southern California. The aquarium features many exhibits with a total volume of 4,500 gallons and more than 20 aquarium displays representing different ecosystems, including tropical and temperate marine, freshwater, and brackish aquariums. The aquarium was dedicated to Dennis Kelly in 2016 to honor his dedication to the aquarium since its inception.

Public Hours

The aquarium offers OCC students the unique opportunity to learn about a variety of marine life and develop aquarium husbandry skills. The aquarium is open to the general public during our weekly public hours and tours are available for students, community members, and visiting scholars.
